These photos are from International Jablonna Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation (which was later classified as the GRG-3) held in Warsaw and Jabłonna in 1962. The main organizor of Local Organizing Committee was prof. Leopold Infeld.

Conference in Jabłonna was important, for the fact that participants could be both from East and West countries. This was the first time the physicists from the West and the East were able to meet. The conference atracted 114 participants, including such persons as: P. A. M. Dirac, R. Feynman, J. A. Wheeler, P. G. Bergmann, H. Bondi, S. Chandrasekhar, B. DeWitt, V. Ginzburg, D. Ivanenko, A. Lichnerowicz, C. Moller, L. Rosenfeld and J. Weber. The whole conference was recorded on tapes, and transcripted by Marek Demiański and John Stachel Acta Physica Polonica (1963), XXIV, 697.

The first talk was given by Professor J. L. Synge on “Relativistic interpretation and modification of Newtonian models” in Staszic Palace in Warsaw, after that the conference was transfered to Jabłonna. Jabłonna is a small town about 20 km from Warsaw. Most of the photos were made by Marek Holtzman.
