At the Presidential Palace was held a formal meeting crowning scientific conference under the Honorary Patronage of the President of Poland, devoted to the problems of gravitational waves. During the meeting President of Poland Andrzej Duda honored outstanding scientists with:

 Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland

for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of physics, the development of Polish-British scientific cooperation
